The Victorious Power of the God of Jacob.

1 God is ^aknown in Judah;
His name is ^bgreat in Israel.
2 His ^{▼▼ Lit shelter
,} ^dtabernacle is in ^eSalem;
His ^fdwelling place also is in Zion.
3 There He ^gbroke the ^{▼▼ Lit fiery shafts of the bow}flaming arrows,
The shield and the sword and the ^{▼▼ Lit battle}weapons of war. ^{▼▼ Selah may mean: Pause, Crescendo or Musical interlude}Selah.

4 You are resplendent,
^{▼▼ Or Majestic from the mountains}More majestic than the mountains of prey.
5 The ^lstouthearted were plundered,
^{▼▼ Lit They slumbered their sleep}They sank into sleep;
And none of the ^{▼▼ Lit men of might have found their hands}warriors could use his hands.
6 At Your ^orebuke, O God of Jacob,
Both ^{▼▼ Lit chariot
,} ^qrider and horse were cast into a dead sleep.
7 You, even You, are ^rto be feared;
And ^swho may stand in Your presence when once ^{▼▼ Lit Your anger is}You are angry?

8 You caused judgment to be heard from heaven;
The earth ^ufeared and was still
9 When God ^varose to judgment,
To save all the humble of the earth. Selah.
10 For the ^{▼▼ Lit wraths
,} ^xwrath of man shall praise You;
With a remnant of wrath You will gird Yourself.

11 ^yMake vows to the Lord your God and ^zfulfill them;
Let all who are around Him ^aabring gifts to Him who is to be feared.
12 He will cut off the spirit of princes;
